Chicago Bathroom Remodel

This bathroom remodel in Chicago, IL, completed in 2019, is a good example of the modern, spa-like spaces we love to build. Our team at GS Construction set out to deliver a bathroom that feels luxurious from the moment you step inside, using durable materials that hold up over time — the same commitment to quality craftsmanship we've brought to every project since 2015. The shower became the heart of the design. We installed a spacious glass-enclosed shower and wrapped the walls in elegant marble-style rectangular tile, then laid complementary herringbone marble tile across the shower floor for a subtle shift in pattern and texture. To keep the space bright without sacrificing privacy, we incorporated a glass block window right in the shower, letting natural light filter in throughout the day. Two modern showerheads complete the enclosure, giving it a genuine spa feel that makes an everyday routine feel like a retreat. The focal point of the room is the double vanity. We built it out with white shaker-style cabinets topped by sleek gray quartz countertops, and fitted it with two undermount sinks paired with two polished chrome faucets. Behind the vanity, striking blue accent walls give the room a vibrant touch of color, framed by four modern wall sconces and two large mirrors that carry light across the space and make the room feel even larger. It's a composition that balances clean white cabinetry, cool gray stone, and that bold blue backdrop into one cohesive look. Every finish in this Chicago bathroom remodel was chosen to be both beautiful and durable — a luxurious space built to last, and a project we're proud to have delivered for this Chicago home.
