| Ownership Owner-operators are personally accountable for your project — not a sales rep who moves on after signing. | Family-owned, father-son team (Greg & Patryk Szady). | Varies — verify directly with the company. |
| Your point of contact Every hand-off between coordinators is a chance for details to get lost and mistakes to creep in. | Greg & Patryk Szady — the owners — are your single point of contact from the first call to the final walkthrough. | A dedicated project manager oversees the build; consultants and designers lead earlier phases. * “Phase 5: Project Management — A dedicated project manager oversees your project, maintains consistent communication…” 4everremodeling.com · Design-build process page · verified July 2026 |
| Design approach A flexible design model means you keep control of the look and the budget instead of being funneled into one in-house package. | We build your project and collaborate with the independent designer or architect you choose — or we can connect you with our trusted architects, engineers, or designers — or be your own designer: we send you to our trusted material sources, follow your requirements, and install the materials you purchase. Your design, your decisions — we are flexible. | In-house design-build: design studio selections and 3D renderings within a 7-step process. * “With thousands of selections available at our design studio, it's easy to explore ideas and find the right fit for your style and budget” 4everremodeling.com · Homepage · verified July 2026 |
| Pricing transparency An itemized scope lets you compare apples-to-apples and see exactly what you are paying for. | Itemized, transparent pricing — labor is not marked up through layers of middlemen. | Some firms subcontract the trades and add a labor markup on top; ask for an itemized scope and who actually performs the work. |
| Who does the work Who actually holds the tools — and who supervises them — drives quality and accountability on site. | Long-standing, vetted trade partners — licensed where required, insured, scheduled and supervised daily by the owners, covered by one GS warranty. | Ask who actually performs each trade, who supervises them on site, and whose warranty covers the work. |

How GS Construction compares to 4Ever Remodeling
4Ever Remodeling is a design-build firm serving Chicago and its suburbs since 2011, with a materials design studio, a named 7-step process, and separate consultants, designers, and project managers each owning a phase. The difference with GS Construction comes down to who you work with day to day: the owners, Greg and Patryk Szady, run your project from first call to final walkthrough instead of handing you between team roles, and labor pricing stays transparent with no middleman markup.

The GS Construction difference
Your design, your decisions
Bring your own designer or architect, use one of our trusted design partners, or be your own designer with our material sources — never funneled into one in-house look.
Transparent pricing, no labor upcharge
Many firms hire out the trades and mark up the labor on top. We give you an itemized scope and clear pricing, so you know exactly what you are paying for and who is doing the work.
One team, start to finish
Greg and Patryk Szady are your first and last point of contact. With bigger firms a new coordinator owns each phase — and every hand-off is a chance for confusion and costly mistakes.
Live updates, not phone tag
Your private Daily portal keeps your schedule, change orders, and balances current as the project moves. Check it whenever you want, instead of calling to ask and waiting for someone to look it up.
Testimonials
Your Neighbours Love Us
Real reviews from homeowners. Ask us for live phone references.
Patryk (and team) were the best to work with. They helped us with a remodel on our basement (including the addition of a dry bar about 4 months later) and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. They were transparent with us through the entire project (through crazy supply chain issues). When they couldn't get something they were up front with us providing options that might be easier to secure to finish the project in a more timely manner. His entire team is honesty so delightful to work with and have in my home. I've had contractors in my house where it's somewhat uncomfortable and Patryk's team is all amazing. The communication about when they would be coming by was seamless. And as a woman (who was basically running this project) they weren't condescending or rude to me either. I cannot wait to work with them again and would hire them in a heartbeat.
