Inverness Home Remodel

When we took on this whole home remodel in Inverness, IL, the goal was to blend style and functionality across the main living spaces — from the kitchen to the fireplace wall and a custom entertainment area. Completed in 2023, the project reflects the quality craftsmanship GS Construction has been bringing to Chicago-area home renovations since 2015. The bright new kitchen is the centerpiece. We installed white shaker cabinets finished with dark hardware, elegant marble countertops, and a gray subway tile backsplash that ties the palette together. At the center of the room, a large dark wood island topped with light marble offers seating for four bar stools and houses a built-in stainless steel microwave. Two large clear glass pendant lights hang overhead, and a black gooseneck faucet adds a sharp accent at the sink. High-end stainless steel appliances, including the refrigerator, complete the modern look, all set on rich hardwood flooring that carries warmth through the space. The renovation extended well beyond the kitchen. We built a chic wet bar with white cabinets, a dark tile backsplash, a marble countertop, and a beverage fridge — a natural spot for entertaining. We also crafted a custom fireplace with a stacked stone surround, a white mantel, and modern sconces, then paired it with a custom white built-in entertainment center featuring shelving and cabinets for both display and storage. The same attention to detail runs through every room: consistent finishes, clean lines, and materials chosen to work together. The result is a home where each space feels connected to the next, and a project we're proud to have delivered in Inverness.
